Now Playing Tracks

To the greatest Physics teacher

I don’t think anybody else in this world could have inspired me to be an engineer, and a teacher, as much as you did. Your sheer love for the course was a contagious inspiration to many generations of students.

I remember always asking myself “Why do we have to derive these equations? They’re so dumb.” But sure enough, first year came around and there they were, the same equations. I remember setting up the Hot Wheels track to “demonstrate” a lesson on circular motion and inclines. I still have video of the day we launched rockets, and you wearing your usual red jacket. I remember the day we tested the motors, and how you asked to keep the one I made, and what an honor that was to me. The Spring Fling, the wheel competition, I remember all of it. I only wish now that I could have had the opportunity to thank you for everything, not just as a fantastic teacher, but as a great, kind hearted person.

It is sad to see you leave behind a wife and two children, but if you had such an impact on my life, I am certain that they are already on the right path in life, and they’ll be okay.

Today I write my physics exam, and I’m going to try my best to make you proud sir.

Rest in peace Mr. Klimowski, the one and only Iron Man.

When it rains it pours,

When they die we mourn,

When it hit we swore,

That we would not more,

Like a saint reborn,

Like a rose in a storm,

Like a child unborn,

A child unborn.
